What's New?

The Summer Financial Aid Application is now available. Submit the application to apply for summer aid.

Be aware of phishing scams in your email and text messages. If you receive a message from a strange or unknown address, or the message seems out of context, close it and report it to your email provider. Be sure NOT to give out any of your personal information (passwords, account or social security numbers, etc.). 

Spring 2023 refund checks will begin being released the first week in March and weekly thereafter. All checks are mailed. Be sure to confirm that your address on file with the College is accurate. Use your Qmail address to email qccreg@qcc.mass.edu to update your address. Be sure to include your Student ID number in your email.

There are currently TWO FAFSA applications available. Be sure to select the form for the correct semester(s) you are applying for. 

  • Complete the 2022-2023 FAFSA to apply for Fall 2022, Spring 2023 & Summer 2023
  • Complete the 2023-2024 FAFSA to apply for Fall 2023, Spring 2024 & Summer 2024

The Financial Aid Office and MassEdCO both offer free appointments if you need assistance.

QCC has partnered with ProVerifier+ to assist with the verification process. If your FAFSA was selected for verification, you may receive an email with separate portal access including instructions on how to complete verification with ProVerifier+. Information requested within the ProVerifier+ portal must be returned through the ProVerifier+ portal (not to QCC directly).

Students can agree to their Credit Balance Authorization electronically. When you login to The Q, a pop up appears and you can either “agree” or “disagree” to allow QCC to apply your financial aid to all charges on your bill. You can agree even if you do not currently have financial aid, but may in the future as this agreement is active for the duration of your enrollment at QCC.

Important Information About Your Financial Aid

  • Once the Financial Aid Office receives your missing documents, it can take up to three business days before The Q  is updated.

 

Deadlines

Financial Aid:

QCC's priority filing deadline is April 1st for the FALL semester and October 1st for the SPRING semester.  All students must complete a FAFSA to apply.  We will continue to process applications received after these deadlines.

INTERSESSION 2023 - payment is due December 14th
SPRING 2023 - payment is due January 11th
 
You will receive an Enrollment Verification email to your student Qmail when your bill is ready to be viewed on The Q -  you will NOT receive a paper bill in the mail.  Your Course and Fee Statement available on The Q represents your bill. If you register after the bill due date payment is due upon registration.
 
If you receive a Qmail and/or phone message that you are in danger of losing your classes please take this seriously and follow up with the Business Office.  If you have previously been advised that your classes have been saved this is no longer the case.  If we do cancel your classes you will receive an email notification to your student Qmail account and a phone message both notifying you that your classes were dropped for non-payment.
 

Health Insurance Waiver

The Spring 2023 Health Insurance Waiver closed on March 3, 2023.
 
You must be enrolled for courses before you complete the waiver. Make sure you are NOT logged into The Q before selecting the link. SPRING FEE - if you were charged the fee in the FALL and waived that fee, the SPRING fee will be removed from your bill. Please do not complete the waiver again - expect the fee to come off your bill  after January 3rd.
